FEATURES:

• Built-in Safety Device:
I. For Prevention of Explosion or Fire: Should the Capacitor elements be short-circuited due to any reason, the protective device disconnects the capacitor elements from the power source, preventing any chance of explosion or fire.

II. For Prevention of Case Rupture : If self-healing is repeated frequently at weak points in the dielectric or from abnormal operation, there will be a gradual gas emission due to the disintegration of the dielectric which will expand the capacitor case. When enough swelling occurs, the protective device functions and the capacitor elements are disconnected from the power supply to prevent possibility of case rupture/burst.

• Discharge Device:
Each capacitor unit has built-in discharge resistors which reduces the terminal voltage of the capacitor to reasonable level within a minute after the capacitor is disconnected from power source.

• Self-healing Properties:
The capacitor has inherent self-healing function.

• Corrosion Resistance Case:
Case is made of galvanized steel undercoated by electrostatic spraying and finished with melamine-alkyd resin paint for extended corrosion resistance.

• Capacitor Losses:
Less than 0.35%.
